Elmar’s therapy services

Elmar offers comprehensive therapeutic care that focuses on holistic healing and the well-being of the individual. With a deep understanding of the human body and mind, he uses targeted therapeutic measures to ensure lasting recovery and health.

  • Psychosomatics: Understanding and treating physical complaints that are influenced by psychological factors.
  • Orthopaedics: Therapeutic support for conditions of the musculoskeletal system.
  • Chronic pain & muscle tension: Relief and treatment of persistent pain problems.
  • Anatomical sitting in silence: A special focus on awareness of the sit bones, to optimise posture and well-being.

Living, tangible anatomy – BREATH-RHYTHM-MOVEMENT (ARB) is based on the seven principles of H.L. Scharing and eutonic exercises after Gerda Alexander.

The seven principles

  1. Feeling where you are
  2. Feeling beyond yourself
  3. Movement
  4. Feeling the inner space in the space behind you
  5. Bone awareness
  6. Working with resistance, e.g. bamboo sticks
  7. Asking what you are supposed to do

Experiences

In Tibetan medicine, space holds a special position as the fifth element. We know from quantum physics that space makes up 99.9 % of matter.

After 33 years of therapy in many different areas, especially with chronic pain patients, in orthopaedics, with cancer clients etc., I have observed that psychosomatics plays an important role in therapy.
All inner and outer movements are (probably) caused – one could say set in motion – by our cell water and the inner space. Through bone awareness (0.1 %) we can straighten the body up again. Orthostatics (straightening up through the feet) plays an important part in this. This work produces deep relaxation in the body without manipulating you.
